Feel the Holiday Vibe
Santa Claus is coming to town. Many expats may go back to their home country for Christmas, but some may stay in Hong Kong to experience their first Christmas here. If you are going to stay here, there is something you can do.
This territory embraces any chance to celebrate and enjoy this lovely holiday. The Christmas lights are stunning. Most of the building on the harbor front are decorated with glittering lights. If you are on the Kowloon side, you may start walking at Harbor City in Tsim Sha Tsui, then follow the glitter towards the waterfront and walk to Tsim Sha Tsui East. One the way, you can appreciate the splendid displays along the water. The displays at 1881 Heritage and the Peninsula Hotel are also highlights. If you are on the Hong Kong Island side, you may start at Statue Square checking out the fantastic displays at the shopping centers like The IFC Mall, The Landmark, Pacific Place and Time Square. No matter which side you are on, you can still enjoy the beautiful displays with your beloved one.
Other than the Christmas decorations, Christmas dinner is the feast everyone looks forward to all year long. Many western restaurants in Hong Kong offer special Christmas dinner sets, and the atmosphere is pretty good. Restaurants in Soho are recommended since you may walk to Lan Kwai Fong to celebrate this wonderful festival with other expats after dinner. Grab a drink and chat!
